Testimonials for Paul's teaching:

"The experience of working with Paul from Brave Bold Drama was brilliant, as ever they were incredibly professional and brought their immense experience and enthusiasm to bear. The Bristol Improv Theatre would not have been able to host a show performed by schoolchildren like this without partnering with them to engage performers and audiences beyond our usual reach. We are keen to take up any opportunities like this to work with them in future."
Kierann Shah, Bristol Improv Theatre

"We have commissioned Paul to design, plan and deliver engaging drama workshops to groups of international students over two intensive work periods. It is unusual to find someone with both the high level of organisation and exceptional creativity, but Paul is one of those rare finds. We have every confidence in his abilities to run consistently high quality drama programmes, and to represent our organisation professionally.  We are already planning for next summer, and Paul is absolutely our number one choice of facilitator to deliver our drama programme."
Adam Amer, Company Director, Chango Lingo

“Paul has worked with us in the capacity of both workshop facilitator and industry panel member for a number of years. He brings with him a wealth of experience as a writer, performer and director and has engaged in a number of activities supporting students to understand the challenges of working in the performance industry. Typical activities have included running whole class devising workshops, supporting Christmas show rehearsals through direction of scenes, presenting touring professional performance work for students to see in practice at The Bay Theatre, and feeding back individually on student assessment performances to help them gauge their strengths and weaknesses in line with current industry expectations. Paul has a direct and honest style, he is passionate about the challenges of working as an artist and respectful of young people wishing to embark upon this journey. We are grateful for his supportive approach.”

Seth Turner-Higgins, Head of Curriculum and Skills (Creative Industries)

"Paul is a committed theatre artist, and has great sensitivity to performance creation and delivery. He has coached our LAMDA pupils for their solo exams and they have not only gained strong marks (all Merits and Distinctions) but they have also enjoyed the process of working with him. He is firm but gentle, clear and consistent, knowing when to adapt to suit his pupil or audience. I highly recommend working with Paul."

Heidi Hollis, Principal, Stagecoach Bristol South West, Portishead

"Paul is warm, welcoming, cheerful, and people felt comfortable talking to him. When he listens to people he is focused, patient and genuine . . . We felt that the group was extremely well run. People have choice and control over what happens. It is calm and fun. People learn to take part in the group, concentrate, focus and be confident."
