This allows those participating to express themselves with more ease and enhance their social integration whilst developing technique and an awareness for recognised theatre practises. The creatively-stimulating, engaging and interactive nature of my workshops aims to enrich their passion for storytelling and creating narrative, whilst offer them creative choice."

Paul has worked extensively, alongside theatre companies, dance schools and those with additional needs (learning disability) in addition to his work in secondary and primary education as Workshop Facilitator.He has a Enhanced DBS (part of the Update Service).

What is Estill Voice Training™?






Estill Voice Training (often abbreviated EVT) is a programme for developing vocal skills based on analysing the process of vocal production into control of specific structures in the vocal mechanism.


Estill Voice Training has no aesthetic bias and any non-abusive voice quality is accepted, encouraged and nurtured. EVT allows you explore cultural, creative and musical diversity, whilst learning where the risks lie and how to avoid them.


Paul is currently working towards taking his Estill Figure Proficiency (EFP) exam which is awarded to individuals who can demonstrate the basic options for voice control taught in Estill Voice Training™ Level One (Figures for Voice Control), and Level Two (Figure Combinations for Six Voice Qualities) courses with appropriate Hand Signals.

He will be then taking his teacher training, Estill Master Trainer (EMT) qualification, which is awarded to an individual to teach Estill Voice Training within their private studio, course practice sessions or classroom setting. The certification is a two-stage examination including written and voice control components, and observed teaching.

Qualified LAMDA Teacher

Level 5 Diploma in Communication,
Speech and Drama Education (LSDE)


Paul is currently studying for his LAMDA Diploma in Communication, Speech and Drama Education (LSDE) which credits Teachers with the appropriate skills and knowledge in areas of study which reflect the role of the speech and/or drama teacher. The course programme combines research, analysis and reflection, leading to the practical application of this knowledge. The qualification is also suited to those specifically teaching LAMDA exams. 

LAMDA Examinations are available in the following:

  • Performance Examinations: Acting, Devising Drama, Mime & Shakespeare
  • Communication Examinations: Speaking Verse and Prose, Reading for Performance & Speaking in Public
  • Musical Theatre


The LAMDA Diploma in Communication, Speech and Drama Education (LSDE) is recognised by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) in England and the corresponding regulatory authorities in Wales and Northern Ireland: Qualifications Wales and Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA).
